Manager Kyungmoon Kim named the Premier12 28-man roster of the defending champions Korea.
“Now that I’ve named these 28 players, I’d rather not talk about who was on the bubble or which position I was worried about the most,” Kim said at a press conference at KBO headquarters in Seoul. “I’ll trust my team. I believe they’re all great players.”
All the players on the roster perform in the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO), the top domestic professional league. It includes two-time KBO MVP Park Byungho, the 2019 home run king with 33, the 2019 batting champion Yang Euiji (.354 batting average and .438 on-base percentage) and left-hander Yang Hyeonjong, the pitcher with the best Earned Run Average (2.29).
