A documentary about French Baseball National Team catcher Andy Paz, produced by the French Olympic Committee (Comité National Olympique et Sportif Français-CNOSF) in the series Esprit Bleu, will premiere on France Ô on Sunday 10 February at 6.45 pm CEST.

Andy Paz Garriga was born in January 1993 in Havana, Cuba. He grew up playing baseball and Baseball5 in Cuba. As he moved to France in 2007, he joined the Stade Toulousain baseball team.

Andy Paz became the third player developed in France to sign a professional contract with a Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise as he joined the Oakland Athletics in 2011. He appeared (2011-2017) in 254 Minor League games, including 99 at the AA level.
He played for the Tigres de Chinendega in the 2017-2018 Nicaragua Winter League (Liga de Béisbol Profesional Nacional-LBPN).
He spent the 2018 season in the independent American Association with the Gary Southshore Railcats.

Andy Paz has represented France internationally since 2009, when he contributed to a bronze medal in the U-18 European Championship. In 2012 he led France to the U-21 European title. He represented France in the 2012 and 2016 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers.
