SANTO DOMINGO – The Dominican Republic Softball Federation (Fedosa) unanimously re-elected Garibaldy Bautista as president for a fresh four-year term on 9 December with 28 of 32 delegates in attendance.
Along with Bautista, the Fedosa Executive Committee is now represented by the following individuals:

2nd Vice President: Roberto Pérez
3rd Vice President: Yomaira Peña de Peravia
Secretary General: Juan Luis Medina
Co-Secretary: Julio Abad Santana
Treasurer: Nelson Wells
Co-Treasurer: Julio César de Jesús Corporan
Vocal, East: Rodolfo Alcalá
Vocal, Metropolitan Area: Leonardo Díaz
Vocal, Sur Corto: Miguel Valdez Paniagua
Vocal, Sur Largo: Fernelis Dotel Perdernales
Vocal, Northeast: Maria Trinidad Sanchez F.
Vocal, Central: Monseñor Noel Wilton B.

Bautista affirmed that he will work for the 32 associations that make up Fedosa to strengthen the institutional structure, meet the competition calendars in each province, establish pitching academies, and provide clinics and training within clubs and schools.
“I’m going to work in favor of softball, regardless of electoral, religious or political preference, this group of men and women, whose only goal is to strengthen our sports and raise us in the WBSC Softball World Rankings, as well as to spread the discipline in schools, sectors and neighborhoods,” Bautista said after his oath with the other members.
The electoral commission that led the process was chaired by Nelson Ramírez, member of the Executive Committee of the Dominican Olympic Committee (COD), accompanied by Radhamés Tavarez, president of the Dominican Swimming Federation and journalist Vicente Mejía, communications director of the Ministry of Sports.
