Canada reached its sixth win in a row and secured the number one place in Group B. Today the Red and White team beat Singapore, 8-0, in five innings. New Zealand had an easy win today against Philippines, 15-0, and added its fourth win in the Men’s Softball World Championship.

Australia defeated Venezuela 5-3 at Hippos Arena in Havlickuv Brod and secured one of the two top spots in Group B. Japan secured today the first place in Group A, with a 2-0 win over Cuba at Svododa Park, in Prague. Hikaru Matsuda was the man of the match.

Only halfway through the WBSC Men’s Softball World Championship in central Europe, it has already generated the most online views and social media volume in the event’s history, with over 3 million views and over 4 million impressions on WBSC’s social media accounts. 

Japan claimed a pivotal win today in Havlickuv Brod, defeating the reigning world champions New Zealand, 5-1, and is the only undefeated in Group A. United States is back over .500 in Group A after a 7-0, five innings victory over Singapore.

Mexico defeated Botswana 5-3 in the first game of the day in Havlickuv Brod. Adam Folkard and Layton Reid combined for a six-inning no-hitter as Australia clinched an 11-0 victory over South Africa, in six innings, to improve its record to 4-1

Canada beat United States, 4-1, and remains undefeated on top of Group B. Australia clinched a come from behind win over Denmark, 5-3. Argentina used three long balls to score the first four runs of the game, en route to a key victory in Group A against host Czech Republic, 6-3, for the Group A

Ben Enoka hit a two-run homer, and his brother Ben produced the first two runs of the day at Svoboda Park to guide New Zealand to its third win of the tournament. Venezuela scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth to remain undefeated in the Men’s Softball World Championship, after four games.

Cuba secured its second consecutive win and improved its record to 3-1 with a 7-2 win against Mexico. The Caribbean team jumped ahead early in the game and never looked back. Singapore recovered from a 2-run deficit in the last two innings of the game to clinch a historic walk-off victory over South Africa, 4-3. It was the fourth win ever for Singapore

Derek Mayson hit a 3-run home run to support a 2-hit, 10-strikeout performance by ace Sean Cleary to give Canada a key victory over Australia, 4-1. United States will sleep tonight with a positive record in Group B after a solid win, 8-1, over South Africa in five innings.
