World No. 9 Netherlands beat No. 25 Spain, 6-3, on Sunday in the Final of the U-18 European Baseball Championship 2018 in Grosseto, where the top two European nations earned a place in the XXIX U-18 Baseball World Cup.

The Netherlands beat Spain, 6-3, in the final of the U-18 European Championship. Europe is the first Continent to qualify for the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup 2019, to be played in Gjang County (Busan), South Korea.

Gijang-Hyundai Dream Ballpark, the largest youth baseball facility in Korea, will be the stage of the U-18 Baseball World Cup 2019.

Budapest, Hungary, hosts the U-12 while Grosseto, Italy, hosts the U-18. The top two teams from each tournament will advance to the WBSC Baseball World Cups 2019

A record 12 WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup® players were selected last night in the first round of the 2018 Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft, topping the previous record of 7 set in 2016.
