WBSC and Mizuno extend partnership

Mizuno will provide a total of 1,152 balls to be used during the 50 games of the WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup, the greatest men’s softball competition in the world.

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) is proud to announce the extension of its partnership with Japanese sports equipment and sportswear company Mizuno for the 2022-2025 period.

The sports industry leader is the official softball and umpire equipment supplier for all WBSC Softball events, including Men’s and Women’s Softball World Cups. In addition, Mizuno supplies the official apparel for WBSC tournament officials and staff members.

"We are proud to have such a long lasting and special relationship with one of the superior sports brands in the world," said WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari. "The WBSC is continuing to innovate and adapt our events for new audiences and we're proud to have such a contemporary partner to help us with this mission."

In 2014, Mizuno was announced as the WBSC’s first global sponsor, continuing more than four decades as an official supplier of the Softball World Cups with the International Softball Federation (ISF).

Mizuno will be the official supplier of the first WBSC softball event this year, the XVII WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup, to be played in Auckland, New Zealand, from 26 November to 4 December. The Mizuno M150 ball to be used at the tournament will be the same as the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Softball competition.

Mizuno will provide a total of 1,152 balls to be used during the 50 games of the WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup, the premier international men’s softball competition.
