Pakistan debut in Women’s Baseball World Cup generating media buzz

The imminent debut of the Women’s National Baseball Team of Pakistan in the LG Presents WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup 2016 Gijang has caught the attention of Pakistan’s biggest media giants, including the nation’s leading news, finance and TV outlets, Dawn, Business Recorder and GEO TV, respectively.

GIJANG, Korea — The imminent debut of the Women’s National Baseball Team of Pakistan in the LG Presents WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup 2016 Gijang has caught the attention of Pakistan’s biggest media giants, including the nation’s leading news, finance and TV outlets, Dawn, Business Recorder and GEO TV, respectively.

The major outlets reach millions of viewers and readers, building interest to follow the National Team at the new Hyundai-Gijang Dream Ballpark.

Pakistan’s first game on the women’s baseball pinnacle platform will be against host nation Korea tomorrow (Saturday, 3 September) at 14:00 KST.

The debut will be televised by Korean TV giant, SBS, and live-streamed globally (outside Korea) via www.youtube.com/wbsc.

Pakistan is in Group A, along with Cuba, Korea and Venezuela.  The top two nations from each Group will advance to the Super Round.
