In 1999 the Hungarian softball teams joined to MOBSz which’s name changed to MOBSSz (Hungarian Nati-onal Baseball and Softball Federation). This year again a Hungarian Club could hold a B-pool European Championship: the European Cup of National Champions, what cup this team won. Having held the B-pool European Championship in 2002 MOBSSz had to face with serious financial troubles which had almost tragic impact for future years.
Notwithstanding, in 2005 a new Hungarian Championship started with six teams: juvenile one called "U15".
In 2006 this new championship had already eleven teams. By this year the financial possibilities of MOBSSz were so hard that only the enthusiasm of payers and Clubs, and their money, could maintain the Hungarian baseball and softball. In addition from this year baseball wasn't Olympic sport thus state-support shortened to small fraction of former one. All these financial troubles result Hungarian baseball and softball have been struggling to survive.
Presently there are twenty-two Clubs from which seventeen are active with thirty-eight teams, with 467 players and there are two fields in Budapest and six ones in countryside.
