The Norwegian Softball and Baseball Federation was founded in 1991 and was accepted as full member of the Norwegian Confederation of Sports and Olympic and Paralympic Committee in 1999.
Per 2015, the federation organizes activity for 20 clubs with approx. 900 members. The activity stretches from Kristansand in the South to Trondheim in the North, and the clubs are mostly situated around the largest cities. The winningest team in the federation's history, is Oslo Pretenders with a collective 35 Series and Championship titles, since 1992.
