After Day 5, Japan, Chinese Taipei and Cuba from group A; Korea, Mexico and Venezuela from group B are the six teams that will battle in the super round for the title of U-12 Baseball World Champion.

The three-time defending Champions USA are out, no matter the score of the makeup game against Korea scheduled on Wednesday, 31 July at 10 am local time (10 pm on Tuesday 30 July, US Eastern, 4 am CEST).
Mexico beat the USA, 2-1, thanks to an extraordinary performance by starting pitcher Yustin Canizales. The righthander went the distance to earn the win and also batted in both runs.

Venezuela earned the right to play for the title with a 13-0 win against Australia.

The other game of group B didn’t mean much, but it still has some story to tell. Korea defeated Italy, 11-0 in 5 innings, thanks to a monster performance by right fielder Doo Doongyeon, who homered three times.

Cuba needed a win against the Czech Republic to join Japan and Chinese Taipei in the super round. The line up manufactured the 5-0 success scoring in each of the first three at-bats and starting pitcher Johan Rodriguez protected the win as he allowed no hits and no walks.

Japan defeated South Africa, 15-0, and Chinese Taipei beat Fiji, 32-0.
