MANAGUA, Nicaragua – Twelve National Baseball Teams are in Nicaragua’s capital competing at the U-10 Pan-American Youth Baseball Championship, which runs from 16-23 October.
The U-10 Pan-Am Youth Baseball Championship features the youngest National Team age category in the sports world, helping to further reinforce baseball/softball’s position as one of the leading sports at the youth level.
In Group A, host Nicaragua is joined by Argentina, defending U-10 South American champion Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador and defending U-10 Americas champion Panama.
In Group B are Brazil, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico.
Following the group stage, semi-finals will be held on Saturday, 22 October:
- Group A Winner vs. Group B 2nd Place
- Group B Winner vs. Group A 2nd Place
The continental youth championship in Managua is being organised by the Nicaraguan Baseball Federation (FENIBA) in collaboration with the Pan-American Baseball Confederation (COPABE) — WBSC’s baseball arm in the Americas.
