The construction workers building the new national baseball stadium in Managua (Nicaragua) unearthed a pre Colombian burial site. The Nicaraguan Culture Ministry confirmed that the cemetery was in use at least 350 years Before Christ.
“The remains will give us a better idea how pre Hispanic Society functioned” said Ivonne Miranda, Director of Archaeology with the Ministry.
The workers found both human remains and artifacts, pottery in particular. The items recovered will go on display at the National Culture Museum.
