TREBIC, Czech Republic – The German U-12 National Team defeated host nation Czech Republic, 9-2, in the finale of the U-12 Baseball Europe Championship on 9 July.
Both teams had entered the final undefeated, with Czech Republic winning Group A and Germany winning Group B.
Finishing in first- and second-place, worlds No. 19 Germany and No. 16 Czech Republic have earned a spot in the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2017 in Tainan, Taiwan.
Twelve nations will qualify into the U-12 Baseball World Cup based on the following continental representation:

It is the first time ever that Germany has qualified into the U-12 Baseball World Cup, while Czech Republic’s last appearance was at U-12 Baseball World Cup 2013, placing 11th.
In the European bronze medal match, No. 29 Russia defeated No. 39 Austria, 20-6. Russia won the 2014 edition.
The 30-game U-12 championship was organised by the Confederation of European Baseball — WBSC’s baseball arm in Europe.
