Mexico defeats U.S to win Americas qualifier for WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2017

World No. 8 Mexico defeated two-time defending world champions United States, 10-3, in the final of the U-12 Americas Baseball Championship.

PUEBLA, Mexico – World No. 8 Mexico defeated two-time defending world champions United States, 10-3, in the final of the U-12 Americas Baseball Championship.

The Pan-AM continental championship serves as the qualifier into the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup, with the top four finishers earning a ticket to the U-12 world championship – the highest level of competition for 12-year-olds.

The U-12 National Teams of Mexico and the U.S., as well as 3rd place Nicaragua and 4th place Brazil, have qualified into the 12-nation U-12 Baseball Word Cup 2017 in Tainan, Taiwan.

At the European qualifier in July, Germany and the Czech Republic earned the right to compete For the World Title of World Champion in Tainan.

With half the #U12WorldCup 2017 nations set, spots have yet to be decided for Asia (3), Africa (1) Oceania (1) and the Wild Card (1).
