LAUSANNE, Switzerland — With two youth baseball world championships scheduled in 2017, the World Baseball Softball Confederation has unveiled promotional videos for the U-12 Baseball World Cup® and U-18 Baseball World Cup®. The international baseball showpieces attempt to capture a glimpse of the excitement and raw emotion that playing/rooting for one’s country generates.

The newly released videos have already been viewed over 1.4 million across WBSC’s official channels.

The videos showcase action from baseball’s best players in their respective age-groups and also provide a glimpse into spirit and drive needed to compete for your country and For the title of World Champion.

The U-18 Baseball World Cup 2017 teaser features past participants/first round draft picks from the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL), Korea Baseball Organization (KBO), Major League Baseball (MLB) and Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), including USA’s Mickey Moniak (2015), Canada’a Josh Naylor (2015) and Japanese sensation Shohei Ohtani (2012).

The United States are the defending U-12 and U-18 World Champions, but competing nations will be looking to wrestle the world crown away and boost their positions within the WBSC Baseball World Rankings.

The U-12 Baseball World Cup will staged from 28 July to 6 August in Tainan, Taiwan, while the U-18 Baseball World Cup will be played 1-10 September in Thunder Bay, Canada.
