A project by SKL (School Kid’s League), supported by WBSC, introduced through tee ball 97,000 children to baseball and softball in Slovenia. The figure is astounding, since it means that the project reached 24% of the school children in the country.

At the end of the school year, the best teams in Slovenia participated in an event in Lipica.
Treasurer Angelo Vicini represented WBSC and was impressed by what he saw: “This event was fantastic. When you live days like this, you have to think positive about the future.”

The President of the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB) Didier Seminet was also in Lipica. He commented:
“The success is putting the name of baseball in the mind of european kids.”

Bogdan Grabovec, the President of the Slovenian Olympic Committee, also attended the day in Lipica. He wished to thank “all who promote sports for everyone.”
