PRAGUE, Czech Republic — The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Men’s Softball World Championship officially opens today, on World Softball Day, marking the first time the top men’s softball competition is being played in Europe.
In the opening game, host Czech Republic will face New Zealand, the top-ranked softball nation and reigning world champions.

Česká televize and New Zealand’s Sky TV will exclusively showcase games featuring their country’s National Teams.
For the first time ever, a selection of world championship softball games will be streamed by the Olympic Channel.
In the United States and Canada, viewers can watch exclusively through FloSports.
Fans in Europe will be able to watch every game of the tournament at www.baseballsoftball.tv.
Selected games will be also available in the WBSC Official Facebook page.
Twitter-owned SnappyTV will be integrated to amplify the social media buzz around the event with instant replays, GIFs and highlights from the games, marking the first time SnappyTV is used for a Softball World Championship.
