Chinese Taipei defeated Brazil in the third day of the second round of the 15U Baseball World Championship in Chihuahua with a score of 10-4.

The Eastern took the lead in the first out of a triple by leadoff Chang Wei Shen and went 2-0 in the third with another triple by Hung Chen Wei.

Then Brazil scored once in the fourth (single by Barbari and double by Higawa), but in the same inning their starting pitcher Matheus Franca allowed two hits, walked two and hit two giving Chinese Taipei the opportunity to score four times.

A wild pitch and a double by Chen Hu gave Taipei an 8-1 lead, that a 3-run seventh by the Americans was not able to threaten seriously.

Two more runs between seventh and eighth secured Chinese Taipei the victory. Win went to Chueh Ting Chin, who allowed 1 ER in 5 innings.
