No. 14 Australia names National Team for WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup

SURFERS PARADISE, Australia – Baseball Australia announced the final 20-man roster for the Under-18 National Team that will participate in the upcoming World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-18 Baseball World Cup in Osaka, Japan that kicks off Friday, 28 August and runs to Sunday, 6 September.

SURFERS PARADISE, Australia – Baseball Australia announced the final 20-man roster for the Under-18 National Team that will participate in the upcoming World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-18 Baseball World Cup in Osaka, Japan that kicks off Friday, 28 August and runs to Sunday, 6 September.

The Aussie National Team was selected from a group of players participating in the MLB Australian Academy Program in Surfers Paradise, Queensland. Team manager Steve Fish described the players as “scrappy,” praising them as the kind of baseballers who execute the fundamentals of baseball.

The U-18 Australian National Team will be heading to Japan after having won seven games of an eight-game series with their Canadian counterparts.
