Canada to play a 7 game series with Australia in the selection process to U-18 Baseball World Cup

AJAX (Ontario), Canada-Canada opened their selection Camp. In the process they will play a 7 game series against Australia. Both Nations are set to participate in the U-18 Baseball World Cup in Thunder Bay

Baseball Canada opened their selection Camp for the U-18 Baseball World Cup in Ajax, Ontario. Manager Greg Hamilton and his coaches (Chris Begg, Hyung Cho and Mike Johnson) will work on a 24 men roster to reduce it to 20 players.

The main part of the selection process will happen for Canada (number 10 in WBSC World Ranking) in a 7 game series against Australia (number 8). All games are to be played at Audley Ball park.
Game 1 was played on Monday night and saw Canada win (3-2) thanks to an eigth inning RBI groundout by catcher Archer Brookman.The other 6 games are scheduled from Tuesday 22 August through Sunday 27 August. Baseball Canada will provide live scoring of the games.

Canada will host U-18 Baseball World Cup 2017 in Thunder Bay, 1 through 10 September.Below the schedule for Canada in the qualifying round:
