First Women’s Baseball Asian Cup takes off in Hong Kong

HONG KONG-First ever Women’s Baseball Asian Cup took off in Hong Kong on 2 September. It will qualify 4 of the 6 participants to the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup 2018

The Baseball Federation of Asia organizes in Hong Kong (2 through 7 September) the first Women’s Baseball Asian Cup. The tournament will serve as the qualifier to the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup 2018. It will happen every odd year.

Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea and Pakistan are the 6 participating teams, with Japan (the number one in WBSC World Rankings) highly favorite for the gold medal.

Hong Kong and Japan were off very good starts. The hosts defeated Pakistan 17-2 and Japan beat Korea 11-0.
The games scheduled for 3 September will be actually played (due to time difference: + 6 CET and + 12 US Eastern) in the evening or night of 2 September for fans in Europea and the Americas. Below you find the schedule of Day 2 (3 September, all times local):

9 am Korea-Pakistan
12 pm Chinese Taipei-Japan
3 pm Hong Kong-India
