The only exception will be the Europe-Africa Baseball Qualifier: the schedule of the single round-robin will be determined by seeding. The different draws will happen on 29 April, 10 July and 20 November

The composition of groups and the schedule of the various Continental Qualifiers to the 2020 Olympics will be determined by a draw. There’s only one exception: the Europe-Africa Baseball Qualifier.

The six-team round robin is to be played in Parma and Bologna, Italy, from 18-22 September. The schedule will be compiled according to the seeding. The host team Italy, if qualified, will be the number one seed, the Africa Champion will be number six and the other participants will be seeded according to the final standings of the European Championship.

WBSC headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, will host on 29 April the Softball Americas Qualifier draw. The event will be broadcasted live on WBSC YouTube channel at 8 pm CEST, 2 pm US East.
The tournament is to be played in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, from 25 August to 1 September. The 12 participating National Teams will be divided into two groups. The two winners will advance to the Games.

WBSC will host also the draw for the Softball Europe-Africa and Asia-Oceania Qualifier. Both events will happen on 10 July.

The Softball Europe-Africa Qualifier is to be played in Utrecht, The Netherlands, from 23 to 27 July. A total of eight National Teams (six European, 2 African) will participate and the winner will advance to the Games.
The participants will be split into two groups. The top two National Teams in each group will advance to a Super Round.

The Softball Asia-Oceania Qualifier is to be played in Shanghai, China, from 24 to 28 September. A total of eight National Teams (6 Asians, Australia and New Zealand) will participate and the winner will advance to the Games.
The participants will be split into two groups. The top two National Teams in each group will advance to a Super Round.

The draw for the Americas Baseball and the Final Baseball Qualifier are scheduled for 20 November at WBSC Congress in Osaka, Japan.

The Americas Baseball Qualifier is to be played in Arizona, USA, in March 2020. A total of eight National Teams, six out of the WBSC Premier12 and two out of the Pan American Games, will participate and one will advance to the Games.
The participants will be split into two groups. The top two National Teams in each group will advance to a Super Round.

The Final Baseball Qualifier is to be played in Taipei City in April 2020. The six participants will be: the runner up of the Europe-Africa Qualifier; the highest ranked National Teams in the Oceania Championship that did not qualify; second and third place National Teams at the Americas Qualifier; the highest ranked National Teams in the Asian Championship that did not qualify.
The winner of the six-team round robin will advance to the Olympics.
