Euro championships ready to send winners to U-12 and U-18 Baseball World Cups 2019

Budapest, Hungary, hosts the U-12 while Grosseto, Italy, hosts the U-18. The top two teams from each tournament will advance to the WBSC Baseball World Cups 2019

During the month of July, baseball will be heating up in Europe and the continental championships connect to the Baseball World Cups, where the top teams from each continent battle for the world title.

This summer’s European continental championships will qualify two teams for the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2019 and the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup 2019, respectively.

The 14-nation U-12 European Championship opened in Budapest, Hungary, on Saturday, 30 June and will end with the Final on Sunday, 8 July.

Germany, defending champions Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Slovakia, Austria and Croatia are competing in Group A, while Czech Republic, France, Russia, Hungary, Great Britain, Ukraine and Poland are battling in Group B. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, 7 July, with the nations advancing to the Finals also earning tickets to represent Europe at the U-12 Baseball World Cup 2019 in Tainan, Taiwan.

The 10-nation U-18 European Championship will open in Grosseto, Italy, on Monday, 9 July. The Final is scheduled for Sunday, 15 July, and will be played in historic Jannella stadium, a venue that hosted IBAF Baseball World Cup Games in 1988 and 2009.

Czech Republic, France, Great Britain, defending champions Netherlands and Ukraine will compete in Group A, while Germany, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania and Spain will meet in Group B.

The top two nations from each group will meet in the semifinals, with the two nations making it to the Final earning spots and representing Europe in the U-18 Baseball World Cup 2019.
