Two home runs by first baseman Takahashi lead Japan over the hosts Chinese Taipei. First wins for Cuba and Italy. The much-anticipated match between USA and Korea was postponed to Wednesday, 31 July, because of rain

After Day 3 of the U-12 Baseball World Cup Japan remains the only National Team undefeated in group A. In group B the much-anticipated game between Korea and USA was postponed.

Japan defeated, 7-4, the hosts Chinese Taipei in front of a packed house. First baseman Shosei Takahashi hit a pair of two-run home runs for the young Samurai.

Cuba finally celebrated the first win as they outscored, 27-1, Fiji.

The Czech Republic defeated South Africa, 21-4, to record the second win and keep the dream of reaching the super round alive.

In group B, the game between the USA and Korea, believed to be the key match of Day 3, has been postponed to Wednesday, 31 July, AT 10 am local time (10 pm on Tuesday, 30 July, US Eastern; 4 am CEST) because of a thunderstorm.

Mexico provided the surprise of the day, as they outhit Venezuela and won, 10-6. Mexico is now a contender for a spot in the super round.

Italy recorded the first win and an advantage in the placement round with a 6-4 win against Australia in another game plagued by rain. Italy had to go through a long delay when was only one out away from the win. As the game resumed, relief pitcher Riccardo Mazzanti completed the task in just four pitches.
