Chinese Taipei and Peru to compete for the U-12 Softball World title

The first Title for the World Champion of the newly launched U-12 Mixed Softball category will be contested tomorrow at 3:00pm by Chinese Taipei and Peru.

The first U-12 Softball World Champion category will be be decided tomorrow at 3:00pm in the game between byChinese Taipei and Peru at the Gueiren Baseball Stadium, Tainan City.

Games that were delayed by the rain yesterday afternoon have been rescheduled to this morning and saw Peru winning 5 – 0 against Indonesia and Chinese Taipei beating Czech Republic 12 – 2. The Czech have been so far the first team able to score against the host nation.

The highly anticipated game of the day was the rematch of the opening game with Czech Republic facing Peru for a spot in the final. After having lost 1 – o three days prior the Czech needed a win by a 2-runs margin to qualify for the final.

The game lived up to expectations and featured another pitching duel won again by Peruvian starting pitcher Tsukazan who pitched the whole game once more. Czech pitcher Spacek allowed no hits but yet conceded the fatal run on a wild pitch by on the bottom of the 4th inning.

The last game of the group stage saw Chinese Taipei against Indonesia in a rematch of the opening day. No surprises here with the host nation able to score 4 or 5 runs in each inning. Indonesia, who shown improvement throughout the whole tournament was able to get 2 hits and 2 runs fixing the final score to 17 – 2.
