U-12 mixed Softball World Cup: Czechs dominate Indonesia, Chinese Taipei simply too strong

Day 2 of the WBSC U-12 Mixed Softball World Cup featured Czech Republic against Indonesia and Chinese Taipei against Peru.

Day 2 of the WBSC U-12 Mixed Softball World Cup featured Czech Republic against Indonesia and Chinese Taipei against Peru.

During the tournament all teams will play each other twice during the group stage. the schedule,

Czech Republic – Indonesia 

After losing the pitching duel on the opening day against Peru, the Czech team won comfortably both games against Indonesia 9 – 0 and 0 – 7. The European team is thus 2 – 1 at the end of the day 2.

The Asian team showed some signs of improvement, both at bat where it managed 3 hits in the second game and the overall ability to make contacts on the ball. Indonesia is currently last on the standing with  a 0 – 3 record.

Chinese Taipei – Peru

In the other matchup of the day, Chinese Taipei proved to be simply too strong for their South American rivals. The host nation won both games 8 – 0 and 0 – 10, together with yesterday’s win they are now undefeated on top of the standings with a record of 3 – 0.

After the thrilling first game yesterday against the Czech, Peru was unable to repeat the performance showed in day 1. Nevertheless, Emilia Tsukazan thew another quality 87 pitches 54 of which were strikes.
