Australia defeated Italy, 3-0, at the end of a very close and clinched a spot in the super round. A two-out single by Sasha Willems in the fourth broke the tie. Before that turning point, Italy had the best scoring chances.
Georgia Hood won the pitching duel against Alexia Lacatena

We now turn to Group C.

Puerto Rico completed the sweep of group play with an 11-0 win in four innings against Ireland.
Starter Ashley Rivera went three innings, allowing only one hit, a leadoff single to left fielder Frances Cunningham in the top of the third.
Ireland starter Madison Leonard kept Puerto Rico scoreless in the first, thanks to good command of her change-up, but didn’t survive the second.

China defeated Brasil, 3-1, and earned the second spot of the group in the super round.
Chai Yinan and Lju Jingya limited Brazil to five hits and the line up used RBIs by catcher Gui Yuanyuan and second baseman Lyu Murong.
