The WBSC Baseball Americas Qualifier is expected to be held in early June (exact dates/venues to be confirmed) in Florida, with the WBSC Baseball Final Qualifier to follow from 16-20 June in Taichung.

Baseball and softball will make their return to the Olympic Games in 2021 after last featuring at Beijing 2008.

With the outbreak of COVID-19, the world will have to wait one more year for the return of baseball and softball at the Olympics Games at Tokyo 2020.

President Fraccari said baseball-softball’s anticipated Olympic comeback will have to wait a short while longer but when the ‘Tokyo 2020’ Games do get underway in 2021, they will become the symbol of our global recovery and solidarity, and be one of the greatest worldwide celebrations and most anticipated moments in the history of sport.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will be rescheduled to a date beyond 2020, but not later than summer 2021, to safeguard the health of the athletes, everybody involved in the Olympic Games and the international community.

New dates for the America’s Qualifier in Arizona will be announced in due course.

The core of the 26-player selection is the team that competed in the Premier12 2019

The 26-man roster, composed by Béisbol Superior Doble A and Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente athletes, includes 14 position players and 12 pitchers.

The eight-team event will be held from 22-26 March at Surprise Stadium and Tempe Diablo Stadium in Arizona, USA.

An expanded Cuban National Team will face LMB's Leones de Yucatan, Olmecas de Tabasco and Piratas de Campeche from 13-18 March. Cuba has never not qualified in baseball at the Olympics.
