Inaugurated on 16 June 1973, the stadium is the home of the Pericos de Puebla of the Mexican Baseball League (LMB).

Estadio de Béisbol Hermanos Serdan will be the main stage of the WBSC Baseball Final Qualifier, set to begin on Tuesday, 22 June, in Puebla, Mexico. The stadium will be the place where the Dominican Republic, Netherlands and Venezuela battle for the last available spot in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic baseball event.

Hermanos Serdán, also known as “Nido Verde” (the Green Nest), celebrated its 48th anniversary recently. Inaugurated on 16 June 1973, the stadium is the home of the Pericos de Puebla of the Mexican Baseball League (LMB).

The stadium, named after Aquiles, Máximo, Carmen and Natalia Serdán, local heroes of the Mexican Revolution, has a 9,200-seat capacity, but for the final Olympic qualifier, approximately 4,600 tickets will go on sale, with a 50% crowd limit allowed.

One of the historic venues of the LMB, Hermanos Serdán has hosted the LMB All-Star Game twice (1987 and 2005) and also has hosted national and international concerts.

A colonial city founded in 1531 about 100 km southeast of Mexico City, Puebla has a population of approximately 3 million. Cuauhtémoc soccer stadium (located next to the Hermanos Serdán) played host to three soccer games in the Mexico 1968 Olympic Games.
