Road to Tokyo Olympics: Watch Softball Canada play a pair of live-streamed doubleheaders; USA Softball stays hot

Action is heating up on the road to the Tokyo 2020 Games and softball's historic Olympic return.

The Canadian Olympic Softball Team will play a pair of warm-up doubleheaders against a Florida team this weekend, 8 and 9 May. The four games will be live-streamed here.

Saturday and Sunday's doubleheaders are both scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. ET, with live stats available here.

Canada looks to continue their winning streak after sweeping Italy in a recent four-game series, and the squad is looking to capture the nation's first-ever Olympic medal in the sport of softball at the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Games.

USA blanks University of San Diego

The US Olympic Softball Team is showing mid-season form, topping the University of San Diego, 5-0.

The U.S. pitching staff combined for 10 strikeouts in the shutout win, with Cat Osterman getting the start, before Ally Carda took over pitching duties in the bottom of the fifth.

Haylie McCleney (3-for-4) and Amanda Chidester (solo home run) led an offensive that tallied only five hits in the game.

USA is holding a two-week training camp at the US Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California. The squad's next warm-up game is against Loyola Marymount University on Monday, 10 May.
