The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has unveiled the official ball of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Softball tournament. The Tokyo 2020 softball competition will use the Mizuno 150, the same ball used for the WBSC Softball World Cups.
The co-branded yellow softballs include the logos of Mizuno, Tokyo 2020, which feature the Olympic rings, and WBSC.
The Mizuno 150 ball has a polycork core to provide durability and consistency in play, while the ball features a premium synthetic leather cover.
In addition to being the official ball supplier, Mizuno will also serve as the official apparel supplier of tournament officials at the Olympics.
The WBSC and Mizuno have a long-lasting partnership. In 2014, the Japanese brand was announced as WBSC’s first global sponsor, continuing with more than four decades as an official supplier of the WBSC Softball World Cups.
