Rosas pitched a gem against host Peru, allowing only one hit in seven innings, striking out three.

Mexico defeated Peru, 6-0, in the last game of the round robin. The Mexican (4-3) squad finished in fourth place in the standings, and will face Puerto Rico in Sunday's Bronze Medal Game

Ana Rosas pitched a gem against host Peru, allowing only one hit in seven innings and striking out three. It was her first win of the tournament.

In the third inning, Romina Ruelas drove in the first run of the game with a single to right field, to plate Yanina Treviño. 

In Mexico’s fifth at bat, Leanna Garcia and Edith de Leija produced two runs each to make it 5-0. Garcia smashed a two-RBI double to right field while de Leija hit a two-run single to left field, and Ximena Zamarron delivered an RBI single. 

For Peru, Yanina Sherwood was the loser giving up six runs and 10 hits in 4.2 innings of work.

Peru’s final record in the U-18 Women's Softball World Cup was 1-6 to finish in sixth place.
