The U-18 World Champion will take home a trophy created under the strict Italian artisan tradition. A piece of art truly represents the global game.

The trophy for the inaugural edition of the WBSC U-18 Softball is a piece of art created under the strict Italian artisan tradition. The eight participating teams, USA, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Chinese Taipei, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Peru and Colombia will have the chance to take home a World Cup trophy that represents the top of the sport within this respective age level.

When seven days of intense softball action ends, one national team will have the honor to be called World Champions.

"Every component was treated with special extreme care as in the most rigorous Italian artisan tradition"

The trophy was designed by developing a 2D/3D drawing, later, using a 3D CAD-CAM machine by Fratelli Pazzaglia, goldsmith experts based in Pisa, Italy. The parts of the trophy were hand-finished and then, to give different chromatic effects, the pieces were treated with galvanic processes through the gold, argent, satin or polished finishes. In some cases, the components are decorated with specific colored enamels.

The final step is the most important one: the assembly of the trophy. In this phase, every component was treated with special extreme care as in the most rigorous Italian artisan tradition.

This gives the World Cup platform a unique symbol to commemorate a once-in-a-lifetime experience for today's best young players in the world.
