The song -- composed by Peruvian musician Natalia Faz, with musical arrangement by Diego Rivera Scheppmann -- can be heard across major music platforms.

The Peruvian Softball Federation (FDPS - Federación Deportiva Peruana de Softbol) unveiled today “Generacion de Oro” (“Golden Generation”), an original song dedicated to support the Peruvian National Softball Team in the WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup, to be held in Lima, Peru, from 28 August to 5 September.

The song -- composed by Peruvian musician Natalia Faz, with musical arrangement by Diego Rivera Scheppmann -- can be heard in platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, YouTube, Tidal, Deezer, Claro Music and more.

“I loved the idea of supporting sport in my country through my art,” said Faz. “They sent me videos of the girls (on the team) doing very optimistic cheering, full of vitality and dedication to the sport. I was inspired by that, they are a great family.”

The 22-year-old Peruvian artist added: “I wanted the song to be danceable, happy like the spirit and essence of the team; and that lends itself to cheer. The result when I finished the songwriting process was a song with energy and with an optimistic and positive message.”

Back in December, the FPDS launched the I Expo Arte & Softball "Carreras 2020" with the showing of 70 original art pieces related to softball, made by 27 Peruvian artists.
