A total of 20 players took the field at Villa Maria del Triunfo stadium, gathering for the first time in the COVID-19 era.

Peru's U-18 Women’s National Softball Team is back on the field after seven months of isolated training from home. The hosts of the WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup 2021 were cleared to practice again on the training field last weekend by the Peruvian Sports Institute.

The 20 player-squad held their training session at Villa Maria del Triunfo stadium, built for the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. The venue is expected to host next year's WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup, scheduled for 27 March to 4 April.

“They’ve been very eager to return, it was difficult to train from home. But all this time they showed a lot of maturity. Being back was everyone's dream. The World Cup is coming and it's time to hit,” said Peru head coach Katia Coello.

The Peruvian Men’s National Softball Teams previously returned to the field at La Videna field.
