Peruvian U-18 Women’s National Softball Team closes out first training camp in Lima

Peru, ranked 19th in the WBSC Women’s Softball World Rankings, is gearing up for next year's WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup, which will be staged on home soil in the country’s capital.

The Peruvian U-18 Women’s National Softball Team over the weekend completed a 15-day training camp at Villa Maria del Triunfo complex in the nation's capital.

Peru's top young softballers are already sharpening their skills ahead of next year’s WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup, as the Peruvian Softball Federation (Federación Deportiva Peruana de Softbol) will host the inaugural edition of the youth softball world championship, which will be played from 28 August to 5 September in Lima.

Peru's expanded junior national team roster of 22 players reported to camp and worked on technical and physical skills, aiming to strengthen the work carried out remotely and in isolation during the year. At the end of the training camp, the coaching staff, led by Katia COELLO, assessed the progression of the players through individual tests and evaluations during practice games.

The Peruvian Softball Federation closed out the national team training camp naming their November athletes of the month and top athletes of the year.

November athletes of the month:
