World No. 2 USA will be the top ranked team in the tournament and will look to claim a fourth-consecutive junior women’s softball world championship title.

USA Softball has announced their 16-player national team roster for the upcoming WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup, which be played in Lima, Peru, from 6-12 December. World No. 2 USA, the top-ranked team in the tournament, will also participate in the inaugural Junior Pan American Games in Barranquilla, Colombia.

You can see USA’s full Pan Am Games and World Cup rosters on the USA Softball website.

The schedule of the WBSC U-18 Women's Softball World Cup was revealed yesterday, with 38 games across seven days of competition. The US team open against No. 40 Colombia on 6 December at 12:30 local time.

Led by Head Coach Kyla Holas and Assistant Coaches Suzy Brazney and Lisa Navas, the Red, White and Blue will look to claim a fourth-consecutive WBSC Junior Women’s World Championship title, having won the previous three World Championships in 2015, 2017 and 2019, all of them on home soil.

The last time USA failed to win the world title was in 2013 (Brampton, Canada), when Japan clinched the gold medal following a 4-0 win over the United States, after the game was called after six innings due to rain.
