Much to nobody's surprise, Colin Anderson was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) the VI WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup.
"It was amazing," commented Anderson after the final. "I thought having the privilege to be here was already an accomplishment."
WBSC: Your second home run is reportedly the longest ever hit in the tournament's history.
"This is unbelievable. I put so much effort into this," Anderson added. "Ours was a team effort. I couldn't have done it without my teammates and the coaching staff. I have many people to thank."
The WBSC announced the VI U-12 Baseball World Cup All-World Team during the closing ceremony.
The All-World Team features six players from the new U-12 World Champions USA, including MVP Colin Anderson, two members of the bronze-medal winning Chinese Taipei squad, one player from fourth-place Dominican Republic, Korea's shortstop and one player of the Mexican National Team.
