Albert Frimpong is the new WBSC Africa President

The Ghana national succeeds Saber Jlajla, as the chief baseball-softball official in Africa.

Albert Frimpong (Ghana) is the new president of WBSC Africa, with elections taking place as part of programme of the WBSC Congress in Taipei City. Frimpong succeeds Saber Jlajla (Tunisia).

WBSC Africa also elected Francis Njeru Karugu (Kenya) as secretary-general and Dennis Michal Kasozi (Uganda) as treasurer.

Felix Okuye (Uganda) will serve as the continental association's baseball vice president, while Victoria Sodipo (Nigeria) will serve as the softball vice president.

To complete the WBSC Africa Executive Board, the Congress also elected Luiz Roberto Nunes (Cape Verde) and Kenny Matishi (Zambia) as baseball members at large; Kathlolo Mosimanegape (Botswana) and Ahlem Ganfaly (Tunisia) as softball members at large.

The athletes' representatives will be Dennis Katumo (Kenya, baseball) and Yemisi Makanjuola (Nigeria, softball).
