WBSC Secretary General Beng Choo Low re-elected president of Softball Asia

The election took place on occasion of the 4th WBSC Congress being held in Taipei City. SA confirmed WBSC Secretary-General Beng Choo Low (Malaysia) as president of the organisation.

WBSC Secretary-General Beng Choo Low (Malaysia) has been re-elected president of Softball Asia. The election took place on the occasion of the IV WBSC Congress being held in Taipei City.

Yi-Chuan Pan (Chinese Taipei) will serve as chairman, Taeko Utsugi (Japan) will serve as first vice president, and Sally Swee Gaik Lim (Malaysia) as secretary-general. All of them were re-elected in their positions.

Softball Asia also elected Susan Zhang (China), Patrick Ka Him NG (Hong Kong), Eun-Young Kim (Korea), Jean Henri Lhuillier (Philippines) and Yotsakrai Phainpanitporn (Thailand) as vice presidents.

Asia's governing body of softball also appointed Chia Hsing Chang (Chinese Taipei) as secretary to chairman Pan and Yutaka Miyake (Japan) as an advisor.

In addition, the Softball Asia Congress unanimously approved the appointment of Yang Xu, the president of the Chinese Softball Association, as WBSC Softball Continental Vice President for Asia. Xu stepped in the role on an interim basis last year for the late Hiromi Tokuda.
