The new emblem and brand identity are being rolled out for the inaugural WBSC U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup which will take place in Parana, Argentina in October.

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) today unveiled the official logo for the  WBSC U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup, marking the identity of the new softball competition that will launch this year.

Following the rolling out of new brand identities for the U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup, the U-18 Men’s Softball World Cup and the WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup, the latest WBSC-logo will become the permanent identity of the WBSC U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup.

The emblem features a full-body softball pitcher in a traditional windmill position. The colour scheme includes a lively mix of light blue and yellow, while the circle lines symbolise the speed of the fast-paced sport.

A yellow softball and a glove in the pitcher’s hands, along with the arm circle motion past the hip are traditional elements that represent the uniqueness and iconic imagery of the sport of softball.

The full tournament logo will be tailored for each edition and include the official name of the event, the WBSC mark, the host nation’s flag and city, as well as the year of event.

The first edition of the WBSC U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup will be played this year from 22-30 October in Parana, Argentina.
