USA's win over Puerto Rico was based on a superb pitching performance from Macie Bryant who allowed only one hit and claimed 17 strikeouts while leadoff hitter Aspen Boulware, named tournament MVP, collected a hit and a run.

USA’s Aspen Boulware was voted by officials as the best player of the tournament, leading the All-World Team, picked from athletes from the medal games teams.

Japan pitcher Shion Yamamoto outplayed Chinese Taipei pitchers Li-Yu Kuo and Miao-Hua Chen while Sari Nagatomo and Lilia Lewis scored the crucial runs for Japan on offence.

Puerto Rico and USA ended the Super Round with victories on Saturday, advancing to the gold medal game on Sunday to vie for the inaugural WBSC U-15 Women's Softball World Cup title. The two losing sides, Japan and Puerto Rico will play in the bronze medal game.

Day 5 of the WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup saw the start of the Super Round, where Japan and USA kept their unbeaten records. The hosts triumphed over the Philippines, while USA beat Mexico courtesy of two homers from Aspen Boulware. Puerto Rico pulled off a crucial 2-1 win over Chinese Taipei in the first game of the day. In the Placement Round, Brazil beat New Zealand in six innings, and Czechia claimed a superb come-from-behind-win over Italy in a thriller.

The WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup progresses into the next phase of the competition with world No. 2 Japan, No. 1 USA, No. 3 Puerto Rico, No. 5 Chinese Taipei, No. 6 Mexico and No. 21 Philippines set to compete in the Super Round from 26-28 October.

Japan beat Mexico and New Zealand to confirm their place in Group A's top position, while USA also topped Group B with a win over Czechia. Both teams advance to the Super Round with perfect records. Chinese Taipei and Puerto Rico kept 4-1 records to secure second place in their respective groups in the Opening Round. Brazil escaped with a victory over the Philippines to close the Opening Round.

Japan and USA have kept their perfect record with three straight victories. Mexico, Chinese Taipei and Puerto Rico improved their records to 3-1. The race for the top three spots and a spot in the Super Round will go down to the final day of the Opening Round on Tuesday.
