Chinese Taipei beat Japan in the last game of the Super Round and earned home-field advantage in the World Championship final. Korea and the United States prevailed in the three-way tie with Puerto Rico thanks to the TQB tie-breaking rule and will play for bronze.

Japan scored first, but the hosts reversed the lead in the bottom of the second and could sit on it thanks to solid pitching by Wei Che Tseng. Chinese Taipei will have home-field advantage in the World Championship Game on Sunday, 10 September.
Korea got ahead with the small ball and held the lead, relying on perfect defence to support four pitchers. Their win created a three-way tie with Puerto Rico and the US at 2-3.
