Mexico, USA, Venezuela, Panama, Nicaragua and Puerto Rico will compete for the four spots from 10 to 12 November. Canada and Cuba are out.

World No. 4 Mexico, No. 5 USA, No. 6 Venezuela, No. 13 Panama, No. 15 Nicaragua and No. 16 Puerto Rico will compete for four spots in the XXXI WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup in the Super Round of the Americas Qualifier.

The Opening Round eliminated power houses such as World No. 9 Cuba and No. 12 Canada.

The Super Round opens at Estadio Arturo C. Nahl in La Paz on Thursday, 10 November, and will run through 12 November.

Panama and Mexico finished tied at 2-1 in Group A. Nicaragua defeated Cuba, 9-0, to advance as the third-place team.

The game went through six innings with no score. Cuba's Dario Sarduy and Nicaragua's Joshua Quezada posted a masterful pitching duel.

Sarduy's reliever Jan Cabrera got only one out. Cuba needed four more relievers to get through the seventh. Third baseman Melvin Perez opened the score with a grand slam off Daniell Ruiz. Perez was in his second at-bat of the frame. He had reached as a hit-by-pitch and scored the go-ahead run on a base hit by Derek Loaisiga.

Deybi Castro pitched the sixth and the seventh and earned the win for Nicaragua.

The US outscored the opponents 47-10 to dominate Group B.

Canada lost a couple of one-run games against Puerto Rico (10-9) and Venezuela (3-2) and is out of the Super Round despite counting on the best hitter of the tournament. Second baseman Sam Shaw leads the qualifier in batting average (.571) and RBIs (11). USA's PJ Morland is the home run leader with three.
