The Botswana Softball Association named its 16-player roster for the upcoming WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Africa Qualifier, scheduled from 6 to 10 February at National Diamond in Gaborone, Botswana. The tournament will grant two spots in the World Cup Group Stage for the top two teams in the final standings.

Five players represented Botswana in the Europe Africa Olympic Qualifier 2019 in Utretch, the Netherlands, helping their team to a seventh place finish: Molethe Bonolo, Isaac Charity, Bafedile Dube, Sixpence Gotlamang and Kedibonye Mogatusi. The latter was Botswana’s everyday shortstop at the WBSC U19 Women’s Softball World Cup 2019.
The XVII WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup will be played under the Two-Stage Format with the Group Stage set to take place later this year. The two qualified national teams out of the African Qualifier will be allocated in Group A and Group B.
