Venezuela to rely on pitching for success at WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Finals 2024

Venezuela will rely on the strength of their pitching staff to compete in the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Finals 2024 presented by CARNEXT, which starts on Sunday in Thunder Bay, Canada, according to manager Carlos Torres.

Superstar Frandelis Garcia, a 21-year-old two-way phenom (pictured above), is the face of the programme. She dominated Group B last year with a .429 batting average and didn't allow a run in 13 innings pitched, earning two wins.

"Garcia tops 85 miles per hour," Torres said. "Our staff has more arms that can pitch between 80 and 85 miles per hour. It's a plus in women's baseball."
