France beat Germany in the third-place game to earn the bronze medal. The Chinese Baseball Association will host the V WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup in 2024 at the Shaoxing Baseball Softball Sports Culture Centre, the venue of the 19th Asian Games this year.

The Shaoxing Baseball Softball Sports Culture Center, the baseball/softball venue for the 19th Asian Games, will host a historic first WBSC baseball event in the country.

The seven-year agreement, which runs through 2028, exclusively awards Hakuhodo the media rights in Japan for all WBSC’s Baseball World Cups, including the U-23 Baseball World Cup, the U-18 Baseball World Cup, the U-15 Baseball World Cup, the U-12 Baseball World Cup and the Women’s Baseball World Cup.

One of the main changes includes turning the Women’s Baseball World Cup into a four-year cycle event, similar to Premier12, giving all participating Member Federations more time to prepare and compete and setting up a more balanced and efficient competition calendar.
