#B5High5: Share your best Baseball5 moments during the month of May

The WBSC launched the five-on-five, five-inning street version of baseball/softball in 2017.

The fifth month of the year, May, has been appointed as #B5High5 month as part of a social media campaign to promote the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC)'s fast-growing sport, Baseball5.

The WBSC is encouraging fans to highlight Baseball5 on their social media platforms, sharing their best moments with the #B5High5 hashtag. The campaign will allow fans to relive the moments of the inaugural WBSC Baseball5 World Cup last year in El Zocalo in Mexico City.

The WBSC launched the five-on-five, five-inning street version of baseball/softball in 2017. The first WBSC Baseball5 Championship took place in Havana, Cuba, on 23 and 24 November that year in collaboration with Cuba’s National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER).

WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari commented: "This modern, easy-to-play, urban discipline will help drive baseball and softball to new places not possible before."

The hashtag #PlayEverywhere also showcases superbly the new discipline's brand.

The WBSC unveiled the Official Rules of Baseball5, a co-ed discipline, in March 2018.

The inaugural Baseball5 World Cup was held last year from 7 to 12 November in Mexico City, where Cuba became the first Baseball5 world champions.
