Africa: Nine teams to play in Nigerian Youth U-12, U-15 Girl's Softball National Championships

Baseball and softball events continue to be staged all around the world, including on the African continent.

The Nigeria Baseball and Softball Association (NBSA) recently announced that nine clubs will participate in the country's U-12 and U-15 Girl's Softball National Championships. The national softball championships are scheduled for 20-25 April in Badagry, Lagos.

The youth tournaments will be hosted by Badagry Angels League at Ibereko Barracks, in Badagry, a city just 64 kilometres away from the country’s capital, Lagos City.

“The event will feature nine teams and it will help to hone the skills of budding talents in the game,” said Kehinde Laniyan, NBSA Secretary General. “We are happy to have the competition back and this is one of our major developmental programmes for young players to grow and advance in the sport."
