New stadium built for Asian Games showcased by Chinese National Baseball Champions Cup

This is China's first national baseball event in 2022, and also the first event organized by Shaoxing baseball and softball sports culture center after the venue passed inspection for this year's Asian Games.

China's TianShengFuWei 2022 National Baseball Champions Cup opened on 25 June at Shaoxing Sports and Cultural Center Baseball Stadium, the new stadium built for the XIX Asian Games 2022. 

The 2022 national baseball champions cup runs through June 30th and also acts as a test event for the stadium. More than 170 athletes from 8 teams of different provinces and cities are participating in China's National Baseball Champions Cup 2022. 

The eight teams are divided into two groups according to the results of the 2021 edition. After the first round, four teams will advance to the playoffs and compete for the final of the champions cup. 

This is the first national baseball event of the year in China, and also the first event organized by Shaoxing baseball and softball sports culture center after the venue passed inspection for the Asian Games.

The tournament is hosted by China Baseball Association, Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau and Shaoxing Municipal People's government, organized by the baseball operation team of the Shaoxing baseball and softball sports culture center, Shaoxing Sports Bureau and Shaoxing Transportation Investment Group Co., Ltd., and co-organized by the Shaoxing future community development and Construction Co., Ltd..

China is currently ranked No. 21 in the WBSC Baseball World Rankings.
